HCA's Remanufacturing Facility in Forrestdale is seeking a qualified tradesperson to join our team in the position of Workshop Fitter.

 As a key member, you will be responsible for: 

  • Overhauling all minor and major hydraulic and mechanical components from our Hitachi construction and mining equipment range
  • Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner
  • Conduct basic failure analysis and identify specific modes of failure
  • Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reports
  • Liaising with technical support staff
  • Providing timely customer service 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • A fitting & turning or a Heavy Diesel mechanical trade qualification and experience
  • Previous experience with the o/haul, repair and remanufacture of mechanical and hydraulic components
  • Have an understanding of Mining, Earthmoving and/or Construction equipment
  • Have the ability to recognise basic product quality deviations/faults
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Be willing and able to work shift work and overtime as required
  • Experience in a production line style workshop
  • A safety focus with a good understanding of OHS principles
  • A forklift license and experience will be advantageous
