The Opportunity

HCA's Perth branch has an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified fitter or mechanic looking to move into a corporate office based role as a Technical Report Writer. The main focus of the role is to compile detailed technical reports relating to our remanufactured components for internal and external customers. You will also:

  • Conduct failure investigations for Reman components with the support of the product support team
  • Creating technical reports for warranty claim
  • Creating and updating report templates to industry standards
  • Maintain records relating to component failure mode data and monitor failure trends
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth technical understanding of the relevant Hitachi Reman product and customer expectations

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have relevant mechanical trade qualifications (fitter or mechanic). You will also have:

 

  • 5+ years' experience as a fully qualified tradesperson working as a HD fitter, Diesel Mechanic or Fitter Machinist (or similar)
  • Experience in similar technical role with a strong technical background would be advantageous
  • Detailed understanding of manufacturing processes within engineering and earthmoving industries would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Word & Excel
