About the Opportunity

Hitachi has a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to lead our Mackay team in the position of Branch Manager. This role will be best suited to a personable professional who would enjoy leading a team of talented and dedicated people to achieve collective business objectives and perform at their best.

You will join a successfully busy branch and be committed to providing comprehensive customer service solutions from an operational standpoint, planning work fronts efficiently and effectively to deliver Hitachi's Promise of Total Customer Satisfaction.

Reporting to the Regional General Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Operations Management - Cross-departmental leadership for our Mackay Branch and general day to day operations
  • People Management - Positively engaging and enabling a team of 65+ employees
  • Safety Commitment - Proactive awareness and assurance of Hitachi's number one priority
  • Continual Service Improvement - Facilitating and implementing growth and development strategies in a dynamic region
  • Business Development - Identifying and actively chasing every new or potential sales opportunity
  • Valuable Relationships - Connected and committed to enhancing relationships with customers, peers and the community.

About You - To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience & Skillset - Demonstrated leadership experience managing a diverse team from a range of departments
  • Industry Knowledge - A developed understanding of OEM level services - relevant tertiary / trade qualifications would be highly regarded
  • Financial Coordination - Proven financial acumen and a confident ability to negotiate with high profile clients
  • Analytical thinking - Creative problem solver with an innovative outlook to navigating complex issues
  • Professional Communication Skills - Encouraging open exchange of ideas, whilst listening and understanding individual needs to build a productive and collaborative workplace.
